This first Orchestral Series concert is a celebration of the Bohemian composer Jan Dismas Zeleka. Curated by the eminent scholar and Zelenka specialist Dr Jan Stockigt, the program includes a selection from Zelenka’s vast repertoire of works for orchestra, voice and baroque wind.

Music for solo violin by baroque masters Bach, Matteis, Locatelli and others. Experience how a single instrument can weave a complex tapestry of musical textures and harmony through music both familiar and new.
MUSIC OF THE SHIPS Orchestral Series 2
The ‘encounter’ between Matthew Flinders and Nicolas Baudin in April 1802 is the starting point to this unique journey into the history of South Australia seen through the music of these European explorers.
STYLE GALANT Explorations Concert 3
Music for the viola and double bass from the mid to late 18th century. A concert of original compositions by Handel and a number of composers whose fame has been unfairly eclipsed; Johann Wolfgang Kleinknecht, Johann Matthais Sperger, Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf, and Franz Joseph Kemper.
CATHEDRAL CHRISTMAS Orchestral Series 3
Our Cathedral Christmas program rings in the season with a variety of Christmas repertoire from the baroque. These stunning and inspiring baroque works include Corelli’s Christmas Concerto, Charpentier’s In Nativitatem DominiNostri Jesu Christi Canticum and iconic baroque composers from Italy, France and Germany.
