In 2025 we debuted a new series, presented as part of the 2025 Adelaide Fringe which sold out very quickly. Those original concerts took you on a journey back to the origins of the string quartet form.
In 2026 we present ‘Enlightened Strings: Quartets in the Age of Enlightenment’. The quartet genre emerged in the Classical era, perfected by Haydn. An intimate and highly refined art form, a musical conversation with dialogue resembling intellectual discourse. The music’s elegance and balance amongst the voices mirrored the Enlightenments values of structure and clarity.
The Quartet will also feature in two concerts from their hugely successful Nexus Arts collaboration ‘Stories in Song’ with Nathan May and Julian Ferraretto.
