Enter the darwing rooms of 16th century England, the classrooms anmd bedchambers of Bach's Leipzig

and the modest quarters of todays modern composers.

Bach's concerto for two violins in D minor, BWV 1043, the dramatic cantata 'Delirio Amorosa' HWV 99 by Handel, as well as works by Telemann and other composers of the German baroque repertoire.

A rustic and spirited exploration of Celtic music written in the Baroque period, with elements of the traditional and the progressive. 

 

18 Oct | A Tale of Two Cities - Baroque Explorations

The third instalment of the exciting series Baroque Explorations reaches deeper into the baroque repertoire. 

A program which presents music from France and Italy, taking the listener on a musical journey from the French courts to the Italian palazzi. Works by Leclair, Locatelli, Couperin and others.

See the second instalment of the exciting series of concerts offered by Adelaide Baroque exploring the outer and inner reaches of Baroque repertoire, Baroque Attitudes. 

‘I am more pleased with what moves me than with what astonishes me’ (Couperin 1716). Baroque Attitudes is an exploration of musical attitudes from the High Baroque. Works by Telemann, Couperin, Marais and others.
